Batote

Batote is amongst the one of the popular tourist spots in Jammu and Kashmir. Its Only 12 kms away from Kud, Batote is a small hill resort with a small spring called AMRIT CHASHMA. At a distance of 125 kilometers from Jammu it is located and at an altitude of 1560 metres on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. This resort stands astride the lush green forested slopes of the Patnitop mountain range, overlooking the impressive lie of the Chenab gorge. Buses from the cities of Kishtwar, Doda and Bhaderwah too run alongside the National Highway and pass over the resort. One can also hire taxis from Patnitop or Jammu which ply on fixed rates.
