Kud is situated 103 Kms away from Jammu and only 10 km away from patnitop. At an altitude of 1738 metres this popular hill resort is located on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. The best season to visit Kud is September and November. During this month one can see the snow fall and can enjoy the journey in snow covered mountain slopes. This place requires warm cloths at the time of the winter and light and medium clothing in summer.

Lodging is available in the J&K TDC's Tourist Bungalow-I and Tourist Bungalow–II. Charges are about Rs.350/- for a regular room and Rs.450/- for a deluxe room. Also there are many private hotels which offer various types of accommodation.

How to Reach:
Regular transportation is available from Jammu. You can reach there by buses also as buses are available from General Bus stands Jammu. One can also hire a taxi from scores of Tour/Travel operators from across the city of Jammu. There are also similar services towards Kud.
